Five American billionaires who got even richer during this Pandemic.

America maybe heading towards a recession because of the coronavirus pandemic but some of its citizens are not feeling the season’s pinch at all instead they getting even richer.

According to a new report these billionaires saw their fortune soar by 15% between the two months, Mid-March and Mid-May, of the lockdown.

Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos:¬†Amazon’s Founder had one of the biggest increase during this lockdown with a 31% increase he Added $34.6billion to his already outstanding $112.4billion wealth rounding it all up to $147billion.

As at thursday May 21, 2020 Amazon shares closed at $2,499 which is up nearly 29% from the beginning of 2020.

Mark Zuckerberg

Mark Zuckerberg: The Facebook Founder/ Chief Exec. saw a 10% surge on the company’s shares. The social media platform’s shares went up to $231 on Thursday, May 21, 2020. That, is an increase from $209 at the beginning of the year. Zuckerberg has reportedly add a 46% increase to his wealth by adding¬† $25billion to make it $80billion.

Elon Musk: The only South African in the list and Founder of the Aerospace company, SapceX, had the largest percentage gain among all mentioned so far, with whopping 48% taking his networth to $36billion.

Mackenzie Scott Bezos

Mackenzie Bezos: The ex-wife of Amazon boss and the only woman on this list, saw her shares, which she took away from divorcing Jeff, plummet by a third, increasing her billions to an enviable sum of $48billon.
