EndSARS: Nigerian Footballers In Italy Protest Police Brutality During Match

Following the resumption of club football this weekend, foreign-based Nigerian footballers joined the Nigerian youths in the protest against police brutality in the country.

In Italy, Super Eagles Victor Osimhen, who plays for Napoli, raised a white T-shirt after scoring against Atalanta.

On the shirt was clearly written “#EndPoliceBrutality In Nigeria.”

Interestingly,  the pacy footballer who arrived in Naples from Lille Metropole in the last transfer window had not found the net before this game against tough Atalanta.

Similarly, Simy Tochuckwu Nwankwo, a Nigerian footballer who plays for Crotone in Italy pulled out an End Police Brutality In Nigeria T-shirt.

The EndSARS protests in began in Nigeria on October 3rd after Operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad killed a young man in Ughelli, Delta State, and took his car away.
